Commercial Sink Supplier in China: What to Look For Before You Order

Sourcing a commercial stainless steel sink from a China manufacturer can cut your landed cost dramatically — but only if you vet the right things. As a factory-direct stainless steel equipment maker, here’s the checklist we wish every buyer used before they placed their first order.

1. Factory or trading company?

The biggest cost leak is the middle layer. A factory-direct supplier controls tooling, welding and QC, and can customise without a markup. Ask for the factory video / live tour and the production licence — and confirm they actually weld sinks, not just reship them.

2. Steel grade and proof

3. MOQ and flexibility

Many factories set MOQ at 50–500 pieces. We run MOQ of 1 piece for custom sizes — useful for distributors testing a sample, or hotels replacing a single unit. Lower MOQ = lower risk when you’re validating a new supplier.

4. Customisation & OEM / ODM

A real manufacturer should handle custom dimensions, extra depth, extra faucet holes, and private-label packaging. If your market needs a specific length or your brand on the carton, confirm it up front — tooling flexibility is the difference between a factory and a warehouse.

5. Quality control & packaging for export

• Welds: smooth, uniform TIG welds (radius corners, no grind marks).
• Protection: foam + carton rated for ocean freight — buyers routinely ship by boat, so packaging must survive weeks at sea.
• Docs: commercial invoice, packing list, and (if required) CE / material certificates for your market.

6. Communication & samples

7. Certifications for your market

Depending on destination you may need CE (EU), cUPC (North America) or NSF. Ask what the factory can actually provide versus what you must self-certify. We hold CE through an EU-notified body and supply material certs on request.

• Refuses a mill test certificate for the steel grade.
